JANTIKALU - జంతికలు (బియ్యం పిండి మరియు సెనగ పిండి)
 
A DEEP FRIED SNACK PREPARED WITH RICE FLOUR AND GRAM FLOUR.
 
JANTIKALU - జంతికలు (బియ్యం పిండి మరియు సెనగ పిండి)
 

Here comes crunchy tasty Jantikalu (Murukulu). Thes are the various types of jantikalu (murukulu).

Ingredients:
  1. Rice flour - 3 cups
  2. Gram flour (Besan / chick peas flour) - 1 cup
  3. Ajwain - 1 tsp
  4. Red chili powder -  1 tsp.
  5. Salt as required to taste
  6. Butter -  1/4 cup
  7. Oil to deep fry
Method:
  1. Mix rice flour, gram flour, ajwain, red chili powder, salt and melted butter. 
  2. Add water and make a soft non sticky dough. It should move smooth from jantikalu / muruku presser.
  3. Heat oil in kadai / pan.
  4. Take small portions of dough into muruku presser.
  5. Press into circles on top of hot oil and fry till they turn golden brown and serve.
